i'm not sure about MSN but my friend said it works with yahoo. I have not tested mine yet. someone borrowed it for something called 'delicious library'.
    (what's that?)

catrina that is one thing yahoo hasnt done for us mac users. yahoo support for mac isnt that great, only supports video but no audio. i read an article saying that this might be coming soon but after almost a year mac users are still "deaf" in the yahoo msgr world. i for 1 have been waiting for this day to come.

but if you have an AIM msgr acct or .mac you can use iChat w. audio & video. if you dont have iSight. you can buy high end webcams that support mac, but you still need to install a few drivers to make it work properly (audio & video). if you are interested on this there are some threads here which are helpful, just do a search.

yeah AIM is aol messenger, and you and your friends could just sign up to get an AIM account. they could use the their AIM accounts with their windows machine using the free instant messenger that comes with it, and you can use your ichat. once you all have AIM accounts it's really no fuss connecting with your windows friends.

hi catrina! i've an isight and i too use it mostly with windows people -- no problems so far except for the audio with yahoo, but then the video's crappy anyway with yahoo.

they're right -- use iChat! it's really cool especially if you know people who have macs too.. i get to chat with my cousin who's in the states and it's like we're in the same room i once left iChat on while my family was having lunch so it seemed as if my cousin was joining us for lunch -- we all got to talk to her and all! go for it, go for it!

My friends who have videocams and AOL Instant Messenger installed for Windows PC have not been successful in establishing an audio - video chat link. iSight worked flawlessly on Macs using iChat though.
