Default import, drag & add? why?

A very frustrating task on mac organizing & viewing photo...

    i tried....
    -photo mechanic
    -view it
-iphoto 05 (hanged twice on me pa)

    Is there any alternative?
I just need a simple click on the folder, cd & card reader type of program for my photos. Thats what i like on my winPC (acdsee)

    Thank you!

    Hi tekgik,

There's been some discussion on this in this thread. With Graphic Converter, you can browse other mounted devices (CDs and CF drives) as well.

    Hi tekgik,

Image Capture is found in your Applications Directory. You can set it up to automatically open when you mount any removable storage device. I use it when I transfer my pix from my Compact Flash via card reader. I also use it when I connect my digicam to my PB. I don't like importing directly to iPhoto.
