    Default i\'ve switched!

    hi all.

i'm a newbie and a switcher. got my 12" iBook just this wednesday and am loving it ever since. i''ve named him Diwa - my digital consciousness. hehe.

i haven't bought a carrying case yet. any suggestions? the stuff they sell at power mac are too expensive for me. i haven't gotten any accessories either. are there "musts" i should save up for?

oh, and another question: do any of you guys know about Soulseek? could it run on mac?

    in mac&lomo love and music,
    ruthie

Lots of carrying case suggestions here. Charlie's stores in Virra Mall (@games and Digital Walker, 2/F Molave Lane) have lots of accessories for iBooks, including stuff like screen protectors, keyboard protectors, and laptop bags. May PhilMUG discount pa. ;-)

There are actually three Soulseek clients available for OS X: Soulseek X, SolarSeek, and Nicotine. Try them all and see which one's the best for your needs. :-)

Oh my. There's always something out there that you can get for your mac! This forum is a great place to discern between what you need and what you want.
But a protective case is always the best first accessory. Welcome to PhilMUG ruthie!

congrats! i just switched too a few days back and i'm loving every minute w/ my mac...

anyway, you could check out the MOC sleeves at @games... priced at 900 bucks... ask for discount

im saving up for a HD upgrade... when i got my ibook, there was only 17GB left from the 30GB HD... the OS and some apps used so much HD space

    Welcome Ruthie,

    Why did you switch ??

Get a coolpad, then a good backpack, Crumplers are great.

Welcome to PhilMUG, Ruthie, & congratulations on your spanking-new iBook!

The accessories that Henj & the others have suggested are all worth getting.
