Breathing light?

Whenever I close my ibook, there is that circular light that shows near the latch. What's weird is that it seems like it's breathing... strong weak, strong, weak. It shows a steady fade and increase in intensity at a regular interval. Is this really supposed to happen?

That's interesting! I noticed that on my Albook too.... I think it's a beacon that informs APPLE how many Books are sleeping.... :roll:

hehehe... I had forgotten that Mac LT's do that, so I closed my new Albook and turned off the light and was about to hit the hay, when I noticed it was glowing in and out. Reminded me of Knight Rider's car Kit.

:lol: hahaha! whoah, how strange if that were true! makes me think of alien invasions...

but henihoo...yupyup, tis just sleeping. :P creeped me out at first hehe, i was thinking "Weeeeiird....", especially since i kept calling sheldon my baby and everything, and here he was "breathing"..! my friend's pc laptop lights up when it's on sleep too, but it just goes blinkety blink.

actually, it was a bit creepy, especially when you wake up at night to go to the john and you notice it. it's like it's ALIVE! :P

I don't know how far back it goes, but every Mac i have encountered has a glowing light to indicate that it's sleeping.

It is normal behavior.

The "breathing" light is normal... hay... (relieved)

My Precious... she's ALIVE... in some ways...
