This has happened to me for over 10 times in 3 hours!!!

I opened a saved document then start working on it. After a few minutes, the Word quits to my disbelief

And so for the past hours, it has become a habit for me to save every word I type. No exaggeration.

It is really irritating. I have to repeat what I do over and over again should I forget to save

Any help is very much appreciated. I'm using an Office v.X for my iBook G4.

Try deleting Office's preference file. Do a search (Command-F in Finder) for "com.microsoft.Office.prefs.plist" and delete the file. :-)

And make sure your copy of Office v.X is up-to-date by downloading and applying the latest updates available here.

yup, had that problem too (a BIG problem, since i work as a professional writer and word is my main app)--until i updated my version of word, as henjie suggests.

I'll try that when they deliver my iBook. Unfortunately, my network card was defective so Ynzal has to pull out and check.

They found out that it was really defective, so (I hope), they replace it soon. Since its Pasig Day today, Friday, their supplier is also on holiday. So I'm crossing my fingers on Monday.

Hopefully I won't be having the same glitches with Micrsoft Office anymore, with my new iBook. But then again, it was most helpful. I'll bookmark this page just in case I, or somebody else, encounter it again, I might be able to share.
