Yahoo Account Problem

Hi! Im having trouble with my yahoo account.
I was chatting and my yahoo messenger just automatically logged and and said I was logged on in a different machine. I relogged in 3 times and got disconnected again. After the third try, I couldnt log in anymore , it says my password is invalid. Has anyone ever experience this? I really need my data in my email... Pls help! I emailed yahoo already but no reply.

had this problem too..

was using it the night before, then i woke up, its says i signed in using another device (i assume my p990 connected, but not) since then i cant connect anymore... its says password invalid.. i tried all possible password but nada.

i emailed them for about a week, but nothing they can do about it.

this is way too frustrating.... all my contacts, files, and articles gone.

When you signed up for yahoo did you give an alternate email? Maybe you can have your password reset and sent to this alternate email.

BTW, should I contact apple regarding my change in email address? I have protection plan and I dont know if I should update it or just let it be

This problem happened to me a long time ago. I just needed to clear my browser cache of cookies then that solved my problem.

Try if you can log on to YM on another machine. Or you can create a "guest" account on your mac, log on as guest, then launch YM and try to log in. If you can login, try cleaning your actual account's browser cookies as well as your YM's preferrence files in your ~/Libraries/Yahoo folders.

Had the same problem with my Yahoo account a couple of months back. It was right after the Taiwan quake thing. I couldn't log on to my account -- tried the Yahoo procedure for requesting for a new password but it didn't work. Sent email to Yahoo pero deadma.

So I said goodbye to my almost 10-year old Yahoo address and all my YM contacts. I just created a new one.

I was exchanging Gtalk with a friend about this yesterday. After a process of elimination, I advised her to login to her account using the PC of her officemate that she knew could get into Yahoo. Everything was fine after that
