Vista on Macbook C2D
Hi Guys! Im quite new in the world of mac so I hope you could give me some help regarding this matter. I have installed both Parallels and bootcamp on my macbook. I end up keeping parallels instead for simplicity. I chose to install vista instead of XP (since this is the way to go). Now my problem is some of the devices arent working in vista (like the built in camera) and bluetooth. I have installed as well the Nokia PC Suite but when I connect my nokia N91 phone (via USB), it cant be detected. Has anyone experienced the same problem as mine? Any expert advise?
bTW, I also got the same problem when I'm using bootcamp (cant detect some of the built in devices).

Make sure that you've got the latest builds of BootCamp and Parallels installed.

actually, vista RTM installation is a breeze. Either a MB or MBP, Vista RTM works flawlessly.

Re: Vista on Macbook C2D
i went to istudio in gh and asked them if it is possible to use vista in bootcamp and they said it is very hard to do this and it took them 3 days to install vista in a mbp. they need daw the driver of vista which is not yet availble thats why it is hard (i dont know what driver he is talking about). if i want to have my vista in bootcamp, i have to leave my mbp w them for 3 days and they are charging me 3500 for it (just labor) because we'll be using my vista installer
SO is it really that hard? i never tried using bootcamp or installing any windows software. do you advice that i should go XP 1st than vista? is XP a lot eaisier to install? thanks!!
btw, whats vista "RTF"?
reasons why i want to try windows?
cant sync my p990i and its very frustrating!! and i want to try to play games using my 30inch display to check out the graphics of the mbp 256mb vid card.
thanks

actually it will take you less than an hour to install it... the drivers are all in the bootcamp CD... just extract it manually... in my vista installation bluetooth, sound arent working... as of right now isight na lang.. all are fully functional...

Re: Vista on Macbook C2D
3500 bucks just to install vista on mbp and 3days of waiting, that is way too much bro. i just installed vista on my mbp last night, it took me about 1hr. problem so far is that i cannot install the mac drivers cd created in bootcamp, it gives me an error message when the installation of the drivers is about to finish.
so right now my wifi, isight, BT, and usb arent working.

Re: Vista on Macbook C2D
Suggest you ask someone else's help (probably somebody from PhilMUG) to assist you. If you don't get it for free, you'll surely pay much less that 3.5k and with a shorter waiting period.
PS: Haven't done it yet so I won't be too much help
