Swapping Keyboard Keys ?
Is there a way to swap the functions of the keyboard keys?
I like to swap CAPS LOCK key and CONTROL key.
I like this setup to take effect on the whole system and not just for a particular application.
I checked out the keyboards prefs in system prefs but no luck there.
Any ideas would be appreciated thanks.

Hmm... Unix guy huh.. I get it.
uControl does what you're looking for. Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated for Tiger (yet).

thanks guys for your infos.
I tried installing doubleCommand and it messed up my keyboard functions as well as my mouse buttons functions. I was in a panic for a while but luckily was able to uninstall the application. Both uControl and DoubleCommand are in beta now but they seem to be pretty nice apps. I'll wait for the release and check it out again. Meanwhile, thanks to one of the user comments at uControl, I was able to read up this page

and found out that you can change the modifier keys using the keyboard prefs. Hm.. how did I miss that one before. Anyway, I learned some insight into what the mysterious 'enter' key is about. I wonder why Apple has that key there when the big 'return' key also works as an 'enter' key. Both keys can work if you want to rename a file's name in Finder or iApps. Well, Im all smiles now and will work faster now that I got my keys worked out.
