Are you tying to install it from the original disc or a disc image/file?

iwork 06 will first need to be installed before its component programs (keynote and pages) run. you must be clicking on a file that's not a program. please do a google search for "iwork" to see what it's about and what keynote and pages do.

i just learned that the cd i found is a pirated version of iWork 06, i also discovered that i cannot install it without bootcamp because it runs on .exe. someone advise me to install bootcamp before i can successfully install iWork 06.

    Can anybody confirm this ?

You don't need to install Bootcamp to install iWork. Just pop in an original iWork CD and click install. If its an .exe file, then its definitely a bootleg.
