Default PLDT MyDSL on OS 9?

Apologies if this has been solved already around here.

I have an only iMac G3 running OS 9.2.1. How can I get to connect to PLDT MyDSL? Do I need to download some software or do I have to just fiddle around with some settings? Thanks.

EnterNet from Efficient Networks. I did not use it much though since it conflicts with QuickTime. Din't PLDT provide you with one?

Jino, you need a PPPoE client like Enternet 300 to connect to myDSL. When I was still on OS 9, I got the installer from PLDT itself. Try to ask the technicians for a copy. :-)

UPDATE: Ooops, nasagot na pala. Sorry. :-)

Speaking of PLDT myDSL, there's a tiny group of guys who say they read Mac stuff and in fact are the guys sent out when a subscriber spcifically asks for a mac-savvy technician. However these guys do not have a Mac in their office, despite having asked PLDT to supply them with a Mac to troubleshoot Mac subscribers needs. They also had a kind of mental map of mac users in MLA, plus they did say the user base was growing.

That's what they told me. Hmmm, anyone can verify this small Mac tech group?

As to OSX, PLDT myDSL installation is practically painless. I don't know about configuring for OS 9 though, it seems like ages ago...am not sure you need a CD but wasn't there a built in application to connect to the web anyway?

Jigs Dimayuga of the skyinet years ago was a member of PhilMUG, as were some employees of Infocom. Then of course, there was the original EMC which had many Mac users.

Unfortunately, most of them were really good systems admins that most of them work abroad or have moved onto bigger things.:wound:

Back in 1996, I was the designated Mac guy at Infocom when it was still not yet owned by PLDT. We still used SLIP instead of PPP for dialing-in to the servsers.

hi, jino--another suggestion: why don't you upgrade your G3 imac to OSX? i have the original bondi blue imac and it runs just fine on panther (it's in the repair shop for a bad video board, but it was running fine on OSX). 288 mb ram, 40 mb HD.
