Vremya is a configurable Network Time Protocol Client that synchronizes your Mac's clock with an Internet Time Server. Useful for Mac OS 8.1 and earlier versions (including System 6). Not needed for 8.6 and later as this functionality is built into the OS. Now freeware.

CoolViews configures the windows in Mac OS 8/8.1. For 8.1 only, as many of its functions are built into 8.6 and 9.x Finder Preferences. Now freeware.

The full version of VideoShop 3 from Strata does video capture and editing. It is available on the November 1999 MacAddict CD (#39).
The full version of Strata MediaPaint 1.1.2 is on the same MacAddict November 1999 CD as VideoShop 3 mentioned above. It is for putting special effects on video.
iREZ ReelEyes LE is a a free video capture application that is easy to use and is very well documented. I'm not sure if it is available anymore. You can check the iREZ download page, and maybe try just the basic version of ReelEyes, which is free.
The full version of Strata Vision 3D OEM (4.0) is available on the MacWorld August CD. I had to email them to get a serial number. It enables you to create and render 3D models.

PlayerPro! Once shareware, now freeware. I used to play around with this program, it's really powerful. Cool too! Before iTunes Visuals, this program had the best visuals!

An audio package with a Tracker, Composer, and Player all-in-one. PlayerPRO is primarily a musical utility called a "tracker" that generates music files called MODs.
PlayerPRO is also a full-fledged composition tool. With many editing modes, including a block mode, digital view, and a traditional score view for your music. PlayerPRO has tools simple enough for a novice but robust enough to keep even the most technically advanced musician satisfied.
Of course, PlayerPRO is also capable of playing and importing almost any music file that you can find. It can load and play the following music (and sound) formats:

Pro Tools v3.4 was released on CD-ROM free of charge by Digidesign as a promotional effort in 1997. It is an older but fully-functional version of the program. PT v3.4 is only approved for use with some PCI-based PowerMacs, and documentation included on the CD indicates that this version of the software won't run on NuBus machines. However, it is possible to run PT v3.4 on NuBus machines and unapproved PCI models if you perform a custom, manual installation.

Glider PRO and Glider 4.0 are now Freeware, republished by the legendary Mac software author John Calhoun as Freeware. It's a great game, one of my personal favorites, and runs in OS X PPC. Read a review in a feature about old Mac Games.

Welcome. Since Casady & Greene Inc. went bankrupt, the rights to the game Glider have reverted to me, the author. To that end, Glider PRO and Glider 4.0 are now free and I am giving them away for free download on this web site. Casady and Greene were a wonderful company and I am sorry to see them pass into Macintosh history.

Glider PRO for Mac OS X does not have a house editor (it was never ported to OS X). The Mac OS 9 version is still the only way to create new Glider PRO houses (sorry).
