You need an ftp client to upload or download files from a server.

Download Transmit here or the open source ftp client Cyberduck here, both are OS X ftp clients. For OS 9, download Fetch.

Basically when you open your client it will prompt for the ftp server address, and your username and password. After this, you simply drag and drop your files to the proper directories.

    Thanks for the tips, Eric!

Have recently been instructed by clients to download the files & pictures that we need from their servers via FTP, instead of waiting for them to be couriered.
