how can i partition my hard drive using os 9.1?
im a newbie here.. how can i partition my hhd? im using os 9.1... powerbook wallstreet.. anybody can help me out of this? thanks

Here's an illustrated link too. Don't forget to back-up important data from the drive you plan to partition.

sir when i run drive setup i cant locate my hard drive at the menu.. only
volume name(s) type bus ID LUN
<CD-ROM> EXPBAY 1 0 0
mac os x ATA 0 0 0
i cant see my harddrive.. when i highlight the mac os x.. theres message "cannot initiate startup disk"
what should i do about this? pls help

ah, that's because you're trying to initialize (not "initiate") or format your start-up disk, which is a no-no. you need to boot off a startup OS9 CD (the wallstreet should have one), and use disk utility from there.

sir can i use the startup disk of os 9.2.1 for my os 9.1?

yes, i think the wallstreet can handle that, why dont you upgrade to 9.2 na rin?

im upgrading to os x panther.. but it required partition of harddrive of at least 8 gig to install it there.. i'll try it later hope i can make it this time :angel:
