Default Virus Found on my Mac

At long last, using Sophos anti-virus software, i detected that virus in my system. The Sophos, however, was not able to clean up the nasty virus. I am open to suggestions as to what type of anti-virus my fellow Muggers think will work in deleting this pest. The virus is called "W32/Bagle-Zip" and the standard Mac anti-virus tools have been unable to detect much less delete this virus of which I apparently have two, as indicated by the Sophos search.
Any help will be greatly appreciated as to what anti-virus software will rid me of this pest.

    Silly boy.

That's a virus that affects Win2000/XP/NT. It won't do anything to you.

You probably have a Windows-made file that was infected, but it'll just lie dormant because it can't do anything to your system. It's just that your AVS detected it and informed you of its presence. I get dozens of infected email attachments every week, and they can't do zip to your Mac. Not to worry, mi hermano. That one's been around since March this year, I believe.

I think it detects them so that you will be warned before attaching it to an email and sending it to Windows-using friends/contacts.

What I find weird is that it detects it but doesn't do anything to remove or at least disable the critter....

Like I said Gerry, the only way to 'disinfect' your MAChine is to have it blessed !!

BTW, I know of a priest who just converted from PC to MAC, no kidding !! He is looking for a Mac program to take the place of the PC 'Frontpage.'

So, Mr. Bomalabs, care to 'exorcize???':sick::blush::P
