    anyone know of a utility to test if you've got spyware on a mac running 10.3.5?

    i believe there is none to date.
    i briefly tried to look for one but found none.

    you can try "little snitch."
    it doesn't really check spyware per se, but it does monitor connection requests, which can be useful.

    Is there really a need for a spyware detector on OS X? This question is just too windoze for me.:dry:

    On my XP machine I've got Trend Micro Internet Security, AVG antivirus, SpyBot Search and Destroy, SpywareBlaster, and Ad-aware installed.

    On my Macs I have nada. Guess which one gave up on me first.:dry:

    using the utility menu meters i sometimes get outbound traffic, even though i'm not browsing or chatting, that's the reason why im suspecting spyware, although ive pretty much searched the web regarding spyware for mac os x and there seems to be none, just paranoid i think
