Remove application names?

How do I remove the application names in the dock? Is there a command/script that will do this? Do I need a third party application?

Try to make a search in google about OS X hacks. I remember during the first version of OS X there was a hack to replace the fonts of the application names.

Exactly. I had that dock application that made the dock transparent and took off the app names but that was when I was still using OS X 10.something, and I simply cannot remember what that particular application's name was. I already browsed through download.com and versiontracker to see if any of the app names rings a bell, so far, none of the ones I downloaded were it.
