Macdrive 5
I've been test driving Macdrive 5 for the past few hours, and I must say that I like it very much since it allows me to share my Firewire HD with my old peecee. It's been really usefull for transfering video recordings from my peecee (with its limited HD space) to my larger and faster external HD.
The trial will expire in 5 days and I was just wondering if anyone has experience with any other application of this kind that might be... er... cheaper? Just wanted to check before I plunk down 50USD for a full license.

We've tried MacOpener, Macdrive, HFV Explorer and TransMac...
So far, we've stuck to MacDrive for our XP systems.
The only issue we've encountered is that we sometimes have to manually choose "Read as Mac"

I use MacDrive for the same reasons you do Gabe. So far, no problems whatsoever. You can even plug in a mac formated iPod.
