Default Looking for a Notepad-type program w/ tabbed recent file history on top

Looking for the smallest program out there which can serve as a Notepad / TextEdit replacement. hehehe. OC

Must have a tabbed interface on top to show the list of recently opened files for easier reference.

Don't need any text formatting - just pure text. No fonts, sizes, colors, nothing nada zip

Another OC "requirement" - must have "Save" command. Apple-S. Some text editors out there like "JNotes" don't have Apple-S capability. I'm one of those people who like the feeling of routinely saving things hehehe

    Any suggestions?

Try MacJournal. While it may not have the tabs you're looking for, it has a drawer which lists all entries.

It's not lite, nor cheap ($40 ), but I shelled out the bucks after the trial period expired because I found myself using it for the purposes you mentioned day after day for 30 days.

Holy Cow.. they SURE put a lot of effort into this "little" program It's Notepad on drugs! Looks interesting! I try

Although at 60MB for a notepad program, holy kamote, too. That's a lot of space!

I'm also giving FishPad and VoodooPad a try

StickyBrain is discounted for .mac users. I received an email from .mac yesterday.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. I think I'll use VoodooPad for a while

It has the very basic linking capability I need.
