    Default Long filenames in OSX

    Hey Guys,
I just have a question regarding long filenames. Is there any way i can have long filenames in my macOSX? It doesn't seem to allow it. I normally write very descriptive titles for my documents. Any third party softwares that i can download or something?

Mac OS X should allow filenames of up to 256 characters. Some applications (like Quicktime) won't let you enter a name that long in the Save dialog box. You can just rename the file in Finder.

I normally encounter this phenomenon with Word files. It's probably just that then. It's file dependent.
