iTunes beachballs my system
Anyone know what I should do.
It starts up fine but if I do anything to it, it beachballs itself then if I do something else outside iTunes, my whole system beachballs.
I've already tried repairing permissions.

I knew I was forgetting something, my system.
Al 15" PB
OSX.3.8
1.25Ghz
512MB ram
I don't think it's a ram issue. iTunes was working fine up until 2 days ago when everything just slowed down and then hanged for no reason. All my restart attempts were all plagued with the same problem. I finally managed to start up normally by disconnecting my iPod so that iTunes wouldn't open on start up.
Clarification:
iTunes opens without any problem but if I do anything to it, it beachballs itself then if I do something else outside iTunes, my whole system beachballs. (The wording in the earlier post sounded a bit confusing to me.)

Have you tried trashing the iTunes preference files in the Home/Library/Prefrerences folder?
