Default How to set login screen contrast

For some reason, the login window of my OS X is kinda bright... like you just did a ctrl-alt-command-< or > on it. The thing is, those shortcuts don't work at login.

When I select any account it loads the LCD calibrated profile i've made without problems and returns to normal.

I'm getting kinda OC, so I was wondering if there was a way to adjust the screen contrast/gamma that will affect the login screen.

login as root... set your desired colors via the display preference pane... logout or reboot... voila! your login screen will not blind you anymore... (this gave me a headache when i was still using a 19" crt)...
