How to obliterate Norton Utilities X completely
When I first got my powerbook I tried isntalling Norton Utilities X on it.
Don't be angry, I also found out that i've made a mistake in doing so, as my mac would crash a few moments after booting up.
With some luck I was able to manually most of the files that it needed to run - and do some crashing. I checked the installer.log and promptly deleted whatever folder/file was listed there.
Everything was in good order after that... that was weeks ago.
I installed teh 10.3.6 update today, and I suddenly get a warning after rebooting that Norton Utilities has detected a new OS version, and suggests that I update it (norton that is)
I thought I had killed all the files related to that, i did an exhaustive find without any luck (visible/invisible, kewords norton, utilties, etc. etc.)
Where is this dang dialog coming from!? Is there any site out there that gives steps on completely and throroughly deleting all Norton-related files?
It is notable however that, ever since the "delete" the pb hasn't displayed any strange behaviour... even AFTER that message had popped up. But what bugs me is the fact that there are traces of Norton luriking in my PB.
Any help would be appreciated.

finally got rid of it thx to some obscure links to symantec support and terminal. SUDO rules!
