    guys please help me!!!

    i cant install os x on my imac. when i install the os, a message "installing software error" always appear!

    i was able to install it before. but my os x crashed and have to re install the software again.. i tried installing os 9 and it work, but when i try to install os x the message appears again..

    guys please help me.. what seems to be the prob of my imac and os x? thanks a lot!!!

    Have you tried using the OS X installer disk on other MACs? This might be the cause of the problem.. Try borrowing an OS X CD Installer from one of your friends to further isolate the problem.

    oh i havent tried that.. but when i tried installing my copy of os X.1 same message appears..

    getting another copy of os x is a big prob for me, i dont know anyone who has a mac

    give us the specifications of your machine, and what version of OSX you're trying to install (10.1? jaguar? panther? could it just be an update and not the full program?). that can be a good starting point for us.

    ohh.. sorry i dont know much about comp..

    im using a imac g3 400mhz..
    im trying to install the full os x program, then after i install it ill do the updates, prob is i cant install the os x

    its the dv model, and i think it has 320mb memory..

    Why not call you dealer? Is there a problem? Why not ask for support from them?? just asking......no pun intended.

    Hi hmmhmm. There is a thread about upgrading G3 iMacs and making it run on OS X. I sure hope this helps.

    Have you tried calling Apple Toll-Free number from Manila (1-800-7666-7666)..
