    Default Eject Icon

One more question... I recently read somewhere on the internet that you can put the EJECT icon sign on the taskbar (top) of the screen (together with the wifi, speaker, battery and clock icons).

How do I take this off?

Once again thanks in advance and God bless all the APPLE users. =p

i think there are some scripts inside osx that put it there if you can only find the right one (similar to adding the applescipt icon)

alternatively, you can try tinkertool or something which makes the whole thing easier.

But frankly, you don't need the icon since clicking on it pops up a menu of which to eject regardless... so you're actually wasting "moves" pa -compared to simply pressing and holding the eject button.

my bad, you wanted it OFF pala.

the above solution is still applicable, but maybe you could try command+dragging the icon off first. since it works with some (not all) icons on the menu bar

    Cheers

Ahk, pressing the eject button is easier IMO. But if you insist,

    Go to:

    /System/Library/CoreServices/MenuExtras/

    and double-click on Eject.menu

now you have the eject icon on finder menu bar.

Cmd-Drag the icon to move it (in the finder menu bar) or Cmd-Drag it off the menu bar to remove it in a 'puff of smoke'

You can actually double click on the .MENU files there and fill-up your menu bar with all sorts of stuf

    Needless to say be prudent.
