Darwine?

Has anyone tried this? Those familiar with Linux/UNIX might be familiar with WINE. This is a port for Darwin/Mac OS-X. I'm looking for an alternative to Virtual PC, or rather I'm looking for something that works!

Would appreciate inputs from anyone who might have actually tried this out. (And for those who are willing to try it out, tara, let's jump into it and compare notes.)

Let me just quickly follow up (since I sort of invited people to try it out) with an advisory of sorts, from Darwine's FAQ:

"Currently the targeted audience is Developers or Hackers. Users are discouraged from running Darwine because it is still undergoing improvements on Mac OS X, and there is still much to do."

It isn't finished, folks, so basically if you're not confident you know what you're doing or feel you have nothing to lose, please don't try it just yet.

Darwine is still in the alpha stage development, so just be satisfied with VPC7 from Micro$oft... or you can opt for other virtual machine software for OS X (if you can't stand micro$oft products), i'm sure there are others out there.
