Default browsing problems if you\'re a mac user.

    hi.

have you guys ever noticed that there are some sites that don't load properly because you're using a mac?

this afternoon, the dean of our law school asked me if i was also having problems viewing decisions on the supreme court web site. i told him, no. he said that i should check out the most recent decisions, because he was getting error messages.

so, i did. and he was right. apparently, if you go to the supreme court web site, click on "decisions," go to the september 2004 decisions, and you click on one of those, you get an error message. i tried viewing the same page on a windows PC, and it loaded just fine.

if you view a page from a mac, this is the link that you get:
    http://www.supremecourt.gov.ph/2004/toc/..%5Csep2004%5C149224.htm

but if you view it on a windows PC, you get the correct link
    http://www.supremecourt.gov.ph/2004/sep2004/149224.htm

i suspect that it has something to do with the html file--some meta tag or something. (haven't done manual HTML in years, so i'm not really familiar with the tags now.) any suggestions? i tried viewing the same page using firefox (mozilla), safari, and internet explorer, but to no avail.

Yes, apparently these sites work just fine at home. Ther must beomething wrong with the wireless network in school. I even get gmail problems there. Talked to Eric in Technical Services and he said he'll fix the problem.
