bittorrent/azureus
has anyone used this program for mac? how about azureus? are the transfers really fast? any security issues with it? i'd really appreciate it if anyone can offer some feedback on this since i hear there are so many files you can get here but i'm just cautious on what i install.
also, i've searched the net and only found versions compatible with 10.3 or higher. did they release anything supporting 10.2.8 or lower?
thanks!

that's what i use.. i'm on osx tiger.. so far so good. speed is relative to your connection. torrents are probably the safest thing to DL compared to getting it from other p2p.
not sure about the compatibility issue though.

I recommend Azureus. The nice feature I like about it is being able to choose which files to download or not from torrent with several files. Transfer speeds are only fast depending on your bandwith and the number of seeders there are. The latest versions will work with Panther.
Also if you're behind a NAT be sure to enable port forwarding.
