    A hundred bucks. Here.

    At first I thought, cool!

    Then I thought some more.

    Kids. Dogs. Clumsy Philmuggers.

    Nah...

Uhm, this might just be me, but I reckon if you buy this stand, you'd better factor in the inevitable "visit to the Apple Center for repair cost".

But, I have to admit, in some instances it will look cool, esp. if you're in a band and Garageband is running in the background.

Definitely looks like an accident just a few seconds away from happening.

Actually, it's not. The platform is coated with a material they call SureGrip, which prevents any laptop from sliding off. There are no screws or clamps, you just put it on. According to them it's impossible to make it slide off; you have turn the thing upside down or pick the laptop straight up to get your PC or Mac off.

The bigger criticism (apart from the thing-falls-over-and-you-scream-like-a-little-girl problem) that I've been waiting for someone to mention is: what if you want to use a mouse?

How does the surface make a laptop stick like that?? Some microgrip space-age material what-not? (sorry for the lack of technical terms XD)

It's great that it grips, although one can not always expect himself to catch the laptop stand whenever it's knocked off. Especially someone who's always knocking things over (like me). Now if the feet had good gripping material as well....

The mouse problem is a good point though. I certainly can't work without one (then again, I have a desktop).

    Possible use:

    1. Exhibit Displays
    2. Delivering a presentation and you don't want your face covered by the screen if laptop is placed on the podium.
    3. Need a little bit of additional office table space(?)

Stability of the thing would depend on the weight of the material. If it's iron, i.e. might explain the low PHP 100.00 price, (and not aluminum or lightweight exotic composite material), it might be relatively stable.:P
