About LinkBacksiPhoto refuses to recognize said cam to my albook running OS 10.3.4 via USB.
instead it even refuses to do anything else lest i shut off the albook first.
the accompanying CD with ArcSoft photo imaging software, i feel, is unnecessary.
any help will be much appreciated.

Panasonic PVDV953 still image download

Word is that Panther will only recognize and mount the PVDV953 as an external drive and that you'll have to transfer the still images to iPhoto manually. If the PVDV953 is not mounting in your AlBook, one option is to buy a cheap SD card reader and just use that to transfer the stills. :-)Originally posted by katsch

tnx for the reply, henjie. at least i now find out there is nothing wrong with my hardware. the documentation is unfortunately biased towards PC and so irritating to the Mac user.
i suppose i can copy the stills on to a miniDV tape then download through final cut pro capture? but surely i lose resolution even more.
was the word from another philmugger or from a DV site? kindly send me a link on the subject if you have one.
