    Mo' Better Blogging With Newton

Moblogs are the latest in cutting-edge personal publishing. To partake, users tend to require a pricey smartphone or fancy handheld, but several are using ancient technology -- Apple's orphaned Newton. By Leander Kahney.

So far, I've heard of only one Philmugger with a Newton. Too bad he can't find the stylus

uh, i think you might be confusing mike's emate for the newton mike's kid lost the stylus. i'm sure quite a number of muggers own newtons. wwe have one member (maybe from the old list--not sure if he's still with us), vandermaster, who owns a bevy of newtons, emates, and 2400c's.

Is vandermaster the same person as The Future Lies Ahead, a.k.a. Boojie Basilio? I recall Boojie being on a Newton-buying kick a few months back.

    Thanks for your post, MIGS!

Made me dig up my old Newton MessagePad 2000 w/ keyboard, w/c I had bought together w/ my 3400c some 7 years ago. The story provides leads on how to keep the Newton "current" in terms of software & hardware that I just may call it back into active duty soon.

Now that I think about it, I really should've gone all out for the Newton holster that BOB had sold at his garage sale a few months ago. Oh well!

Is Mike Manzano a Pinoy? Does anyone in Philmug know him? His name sounds pinoy and he certainly looks pinoy.

Mike responded to my blog entry about the Wired article and didn't seem to mind me calling him "Pinoy." Unless, of course, he doesn't know what Pinoy means.
