just bought my hero here in Malaysia...I'm quite satisfied and happy with it.

I have a tentative plan now. While waiting for the iPhone 3GS from Globe Loyalty, which we all know will take forever, I'll try out an Android phone. I'd want to know how the two compare. I'm thinking of getting an HTC Magic then installing it with HTC Sense. Unfortunately, the ones readily available now are all Smart-locked.

Has anyone tried the internet network unlocking services that do it through IMEI-unlock code? Or should I just buy a Smart prepaid SIM? Or does anyone have an idea how I can get it network unlocked locally?

I have HTC Hero and I can verify that it doesn't lag when receiving a lot of messages...the only time where I experience lag (which is a bit rare) is when I open multiple apps while browsing, etc.
