    Default connectivity with windows problem(long)

hey guys! ive been wondering...i have a situation right here...

im havin problems with file transfer from my ibook to my sister's windows run computer. i have no printer kasi our printer is a serial...
so i thought of alternative ways to connect...either a thumb drive, or an external floppy disk drive...

presently, what i do is i e-mail the files to myself, then, use my sister's computer, retrieve the file from my email, download it, and print it...its really a hassle...

i need your opinions... would i be better off with a
    a. serial to USB connector
    b. external floppy drive
    c. thumb drive?
i thnk they are all priced almost the same, with the serial to usb at 2500php, the thumb drive at 1900php...i dunno lang with the external floppy...help me!thanks guys

Networking them together via ethernet is not an option? Depending on how far they are from each other, it might actually be cheaper to buy a hub and a couple of ethernet cables. Does your sister's PC already have a network card or ethernet port?

I have a similar problem, though its about sharing files and not printers.
My PC and iMacs are already networked together.
The Macs can detect the PC but not the other way around, and when I try to log in to the PC using the Macs I get an error saying the PC cannot be found.

I therefore have to resort to using FTP to transfer files.
It works if I use Jaguar but with Panther its a no go.

if all you intend to do is to be able to print out your files, then the most convenient would be the thumb drive. it provides flexibility whether you're at home or the office or wherever there are other computers connected to printers. just transfer the files to the thumb drive. then plug it in to any computer that's connected to a printer and print out the files you need to print.

we havent had ethernets...i have one, but i have no use for it...ill try to check the back of her pc though...maybe it has one...however, i tried using my friend's thumbdrive last night to check if it works with my sister's computer...there was a box that said "THE DEVICE THAT IS PLUGGED(?) IS NOT FORMATTED FOR WINDOWS...DO YOU WANT TO FORMAT IT?" does it happen only on the first time i plug a thumbdrive on a computer? for any operating system yun ha...be it mac or windows :drunk:
more complications for a problem that should be simple hehe:sick:
