Canon EOS 20D is official!
After countless rumors and speculations, Canon finally came out with its official
announcement on their EOS 10D successor, the 20D. Check this out!.
Although a lot of people still consider this as a hoax (hacked Canon page and Photoshopped images). Check for yourself and decide if it is authentic or not.
My question is, would you consider buying it as an upgrade to your 10D or even 300D? Here are the rumored specs: 1.6 crop sensor, has an 17-85 EFS lens kit, a little lighter than a 10D (could be plastic?), 8 megapixels, 5 fps, larger buffer, etc.
I just bought my 10D and I don't see much of a significant difference if these are the true specs. Or maybe I am just "sour graping'.
Oh and the rumored SRP is around $1,600 to 1,800
They are also coming out with two prosumer models, a G6 and another model.

If you have a 10D, don't sour grape...it's a good dslr body.
I just hope the build is the same as the 10D.

Only thing I notice is the different lock button...aside from the onboard flash at the shoemount.

Hi all.
Buti na lang I've held off on buying the 300D first (not that I had any choice, my budget was short), and this is good news.
Does anyone have any idea on the SRP in pesos? I'm assuming it will be more than the posted US$ SRP, as is always the case.
Thanks.

I have a 10D, the rumored specs are great, 5fps, 8.2mp, 25frame buffer, DIGIC2, ETTL2...
Here is what will make me want to upgrade (any 2 below and im sold):
- FireWire or USB2.0 connectivity (not USB 1.1 again)
- WiFi (parang D2H)/Bluetooth (my cheap fone has) to transfer of files while shooting or after shooting
- Selectable ISO like 1DMk2 or 1Ds (not just 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 and HI) - in half stops and/or 1/3 stops
- Wider exp latitude (i hate blownout highlights)
Hoping...
