Default Can\'t sync P900 with isync

my mom just gave me her extra P900.

I tried to sync it with isync but it doesn't seem
to see it when I add the device. The P900 is on
discoverable mode and Bluetooth is enabled.
I can see and pair the Albook and my 6600 from the
P900. But when I try to do it with the Albook to the P900,
I can't even see it when it is trying to search for new devices.

Does anyone here have or had the same issue?
I tried to do some research on the SE site and Apple's
    site to no avail.

Is there a special program that I need or something like
my HP iPaq in conjunction with missing sync or what?

Delete the pairing on both computer and phone, then have the phone initiate the BT pairing. After a successful pairing, you'll be prompted to select the three options: Sync, Address Book and modem.

That's what I had to do with my K700i today (thanks to Vic for the tip).

Sir Elbert, I just tried it. All I got was a successful pairing (or bonding as the P900 calls it). There was no query to select the 3 options you specified.

Well, Adel S. has been using the P900 for a while now & this was the feedback he gave Daniel when asked about the P900. Its running on Symbian has always been an issue.

knowing the mac enthusiast that you are, i probably won't be recommending the p900. first of all, it doesn't isync well with the mac, it can't send/receive sms via addybook, it can't recognize caller id, it can't work with phone agent nor phonemenu. the only thing going for it is it's big storage space for contacts and it works with clicker![quote]

did same tricks shared by fellow muggers, but still, the isync and pairing with my P900 is erratic.

Hi guys, just trying to help... dunno if it was mentioned before.

Unlike the T610/T630 or even the K700i... the P800 and P900 are as you say Symbian phones, back when I had those two phones I read somewhere in other message boards that there was something about a conflict with the OSX firewall...

So the only way I got syncing to work for me was to turn off the firewall in OSX (not open ports, but totally off)... and still it was a trial-and-error process after that.

Almost all except the SE phones running on Symbian.
