    Default Apple\'s In-Ear or Sony\'s MDR-EX71SL

I'm really having a hard time pickin which one to get.

I read a couple of reviews and comparison on the net between this 2 in ear earphones and both has there pros and cons.

Who's useing the sony and the apple in ear here in philmug?

    http://www.anandtech.com/printarticle.html?i=2071

Sony delivers better BASS rebrivation than the apple in-ear, but the Apple In-ear is a lot more comfortable in the ear!

I read that the sony's cord is a bit annoyin because it's either too short or too long w the extension cord.

Should i get the APPLE in ear or the Sony MDR-EX71SL (both white)

    Thanks!!

I forgot to mention that to you when you called me yesterday. That's exactly what's wrong with my Sonys - the cord is either too short or too long with the extension cord! Otherwise, it's perfectly serviceable.

I tried both and returned both of them. If I had to choose one, it would have be the sony 71. It's hardly noticable, comfortable and stays in your ear. The apple buds does not stay in my ear unless i stay perfectly still. The apple plugs had better mids. The sony had the bass. Although sometimes a bit muddy.

    On a side note..
I still use my iPod 2G earphones. I don't know why they sound so good, but they do. I even prefer them better than the shure e2. Next stop, etymotic er-6i

I use the Sonys and I'm very pleased with them. If you use the properly-sized silicone ear attachments, they stay in place. Great bass. Yes, the cords can be a problem. But I also use the "short" version when I connect it to the iPod remote.

Ive been searching for the EX-71's ever since i got my ipod more than a year ago, and to this day, i havent found any. Ive visited almost every audiophile store, sony store and electronic store ive seen, to no avail. I ALMOST gave in and bought the apple in-ears, since ive read in various threads and reviews that they are almost (but not quite) upto par with the ex-71'a. Halos same price pa, with the apple in-ears around 2,600 in the Mac stores, and the EX-71'a retailing at around $ 50. Good thing at the last minute, a friend of mine who will arrive soon from the states agreed to buy one for me through amazon (sal pa...$ 32 sa amazon now). From the reviews ive read, the ex-71's are a nudge better, but the ipod in-ears are ok na rin daw. Your call.

I don't think the EX71SLs are available locally yet. I t my white SLs throught my sis in Singapore. And it wasn't easy to find the white ones. I sourced the supplier of the official Sony outlets first. I'm not sure if they sell the white ones in the US.

Try going to park square near glorietta and dusit hotel. There are a bunch of hard core audio stores there.

If you have a paypal account, get this one. Or ask someone to get it for you...
