    @Mods

    why not shutdown again this forum for a day and do a cleanup of this site. Close all threads pertaining to Unlocking/Jailbreaking/Turbo Sims. that way, the noobs wont go here asking/blabbering about how to do these stuffs on their iPhone.

    Put a FULL implementation of your forum rules by eliminating ALL the threads that speak of the taboo stuffs.

    I completely agree, especially on the FULL part, and not selectively

    Great idea, Kris… the thing is, moderators have their own specific fora and sub-fora to attend to, and we may not be all available at the same time to do the house cleaning. However, I see your point and I do know that there are only a few sub-fora which are more sensitive than others: like iPhone, Mac Arcade, iApps, etc. As a mod for the Marketplace, I do my best to clean up the threads and ensure that the posters follow the selling guidelines (it's not easy, I tell you). Also, I try and chase down the existing FS threads and mark them 'SOLD' if the deal is consummated.

    @elbert

    oh please dont give that me reaction.

    I dont want to start a flame war. I'm challenging those people who have the power to do the proper thing. every once in a while, an OLD thread would pop up under, "today's posts" pertaining to Unlocking/Jailbreaking/Turbo Sims then the latest post, would read as, "posting/asking for these stuff are not allowed here. please refer to other sites for your inquiry." most of the time, the latest post will come from a Moderator/Administrator.

    This is just a challenge AND a suggestion.

    Apply to become a moderator..

    This is not just an iPhone forum. This is a Macintosh Users Group. Shutting down the whole forum for some iPhone jailbreaking/unlocking threads is, imo, unreasonable. You do have a point so I suggest you apply for a mod position as an iPhone police.

    Why not just close these certain threads so they won't/can't re-appear under today's posts and still be available as future reference? kasi masyadong matrabaho yung challenge AND suggestion mo for the mods and admin who BTW also have day jobs.
    This happens. This is an anagram.

    thanks jaijin for your understanding. We have done our best to lock all those threads down, but some have obviously gotten away.

    Taking into consideration Jaijin's opinion, why not just close all the threads and put up a fora/sub-fora containing these closed posts for reference.

    but then again, wouldn't it be making these posts a little outdated to serve their purpose as reference?

    they WERE closed. how they came open again i don't know (mods can reopen threads, but as you can see the new queries didn't come from mods), so it must've been some glitch, but we've re-closed the ones we spot. we have a policy of not deleting long-standing threads, to preserve a record of the discussions that took place in them until they were closed for one reason or another.

    let the threads be and let them fade away; given the way iphone technology moves forward anyway, they'll all soon be outdated and be ancient history. if they crop up again, then we close them down. i'd rather do that than spend my long weekend chasing after old threads, on top of all the other work i have to do in real life. i hope people understand.
