    Default what voice recorder for ipod 4th gen to get?

    i was using the search but i think no ones discussing this. if there are some discussions i didnt see it. I was wondering what mic to get for my 4th gen ipod. And how much is it now in the market? the griffin or the belkin?

    is it cheaper here compared to HK? thanks

    Unless Belkin's recorder has a 2nd Gen, I would not recommend it.

    It is easy to set up (plug & play) but the sound easily distorts. There is no volume control, no compressor/limiter functions , so you have to tediously find the right distance/placement of the iPod relative to the person you are recording and hope he modulates his voice.

    Not sure about the Griffin iPod voice recorder, but it came out well after Belkin so perhaps they fixed all the kinks.

    Do tell us what you decided to get and post your 'review.'

    i had tested with belkins voice recorder, the voice is good around 1 to 1.5meter from the recorder.

    You might want to consider the lapel microphone from Griffin. It kinda looks cool!
