Default Using a Nano with a G3 iBook

I'm planning to get a Nano, but I'm concerned whether I can use it with my iBook G3-800. What else can I do to the iBook apart from upgrading the OS from Jaguar to Tiger? Is it possible to sync the Nano to the iBook using the latter's slower USB 1.1 port?

If iTunes 7.0.1 runs on your G3 then the nano should work. USB is USB but 1.1 is slower than 2.0

I agree with tweek. I helped a colleague sync music from a G3 iBook to a Nano and syncing was **painfully** slow (with real emphasis on PAINFUL). The slowness was due to the USB 1.1 interface of the G3

How long did the syncing actually take? Would it be worth the hassle?

If I remember it right, the 2 GB Nano took more than one hour to fill up.

Thanks, berniej. This is something to consider when buying a Nano.
