(upgrdaded, not OTB) 1.1.2 Unlocked

It didn't take long this time... After the release of the secpack by the Dev Team, 1.1.2 iPhones can now be downgraded and unlocked, thanks to the iPhone Elite Dev Team.

There is also a jailbreak prep app called OktoPrep (available via Installer.app) which the guys from TUAW tested.

I guess we'll just have to wait until a less tedious solution is devised... and I figure that would be very soon.

Im not upgrading. There isnt any feature worth the hassle for.

Not much has been said about the 1.1.2 upgrade except language support for select European countries. The feature benefits discussed so far don't sound compelling. Maybe when most of the Apps start moving to 1.1.2, I'll give it a shot.

The good thing about this is that people who "accidentally" upgrade to the new version will have a way out. Also, fears of 1.0.2 and 1.1.1 scarcity, and price increases could be set aside already.

nice going darkcast, i noticed one thing unlike previous anysim 1.1.1 icon when downloaded, the anysim 1.2 is a folder.

I think it's just to distinguish it from the other versions of anySIM that we've already downloaded. I guess you just have to rename the folder as anySIM.app when it's loaded in your iPhone.

Now that 1.1.2 is out how do I update a virgin 1.0.2 to just 1.1.1? Any help/pointers would be much appreciated.

just download the 1.1.1 restore. hope you can find it here. its a 155mb file
