Trouble using iTunes to organize Music folder...
I use iTunes to organize my Music folder. For example, I have a collection of miscellaneous songs and I want them all to be grouped in a folder entitled, "New Wave," I type"New Wave" under the "Album" field in iTunes. This works... until I play the song and it reverts back to whatever album title the song originally had. I want the album title to STAY the way I set it in the first place.
Since I am a bit anal when it comes to this, this wrecks havoc in the way I classify and organize my iTunes (and, as follows, my iPod). Help...? Anyone...?
I'm a newbie btw, in case it wasn't obvious enough.

uhm, i resolved this by putting my albums named accordingly in a separate directory from Music folder (iTunes default). then drag and drop to iTunes when played, in this case, iTunes doesnt disrupt my filing convention.
i knew there are other ways, one is to uncheck the "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" option from iTunes advance preferences.

I actually need someone to redirect me to the thread that contained a link to a program that will help delete song titles on iTunes that are doubled. I remember reading it on Philmug a few days back but I can't seem to find the thread anymore.

I see this thread got bumped up again. Anyway, since I posted the original question, I'll post my own answer to it, since I figured it out the other day. (Sorry mistermoya, I haven't come across that thread)
Anyway, to answer my own question (see above) make sure that your iTunes folder and everything else enclosed are "Read and Write" enabled.
You can do that by selecting "Get Info" under File menu. Under the "Ownership and Permission" section, select "Read & Write" and make sure you click on the "Apply to enclosed items" button. Pasensya na, newbie kasi
