Transfer playlist and song rating from one PC to another
Hey guys,
I'm planning on giving my old pc to my bro soon. Problem is that all my mp3 files are located on it.
Now, transfering all the songs is the easy part. What I don't know how to do is how to transfer my playlists and song ratings.
Can you guys help me out?
Thanks.

By default, iTunes puts everything in C:\Documents and Settings\user name\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
Inside the "iTunes" folder is where all your playlists, songs, library etc reside. simply copy that to your new PC. If you didn't mess with the settings, and let iTunes manage all your music files, so when you move to your new PC, after installing iTunes, simply copy the "iTunes" folder to the same location will do it.
However, if you set your music folder on a different drive, you'll have to recreate the same structure so that you won't have to relink every single music file.

Yup, tried that before. Problem is that I keep my mp3s on a separate drive/folder name. Now, unless I use the same drive letter/folder name on my new computer to store my mp3s, iTunes will not be able to find my music.
Funny thing is all the info like playlists and song ratings are located on my iPod. Is there any way to get the info off of that?
