    Try FileMark Maker.

Works for me, as long as you stick to reasonably small PDF files.

i downloaded a harry potter 7 ebook in pdf, converted it into an html file via word then put it in the var/root/media/ebook folder. the whole book , in chapters, can now be read using the book app. and it doesnt crash.

in preview go to tools>text tool. select the text you want then copy paste to a new word file. in word, go to file>save as web page (html file) and there you go. others may have an easier way to do this.

Thanks RT. Good to know but formatting will not be the same with pdf. I think I will settle with FileMark haven't tried it though.
