texting w/ your iPHONE while driving

well I know it's illegal to text while driving but sometimes because of emergency scenarios you are forced to TEXT while driving . . . . anyway i'll be getting my iPHONE before the month ends and this is one of my dillemas . . I know it's very difficult to TEXT using the iPHONE while driving . . . so is there any other way . . an application , device, whatever .. wherein I can use a different phone to text but still use the same SIM CARD inserted in my iPHONE. Or does GLOBE / SMART provide 2 sims (same number) so that I can use my other phone as a text device? Pwede or meron ba yun?

i hope you stop this practice...

i've seen 3 friends get hit by drivers who were texting while driving... that's 3 incidents i've actually seen happen in front of me... aside from that there are the so-many incidents i hear or am told about...

yup that's why i'm concerned regarding this. Yeah I know this is bad and illegal .. I'm just curious if our LOCAL MOBILE companies provide 2 sim Cards for just 1 number? is that possible?

its possible if u can clone your sim card which will require detailed time and effort. but if u will ask globe/smart they wont give u 2 same numbered sim card. Either way DONT TEXT and DRIVE.

It is illegal even to call whilst driving in some countries how much more texting. This is another filipino bad habit. Anyway, get your wife or somebody in your car to send an sms or you have to stop and text.

Just leave your phone alone while driving and you (and others) won't be part of that "sometimes because of an emergency" situation.

I suggest using a Bluetooth earphone and call instead of text (text is cheaper, that is why we don't call) but since its urgent / or emergency situation,its better to call then text while driving. Or better yet park your car then do all your texting.

When someone text me...I always pull over to a safe spot...If I cant pull over Id answer back later..If that text is really that important..they will call instead of text.

For me texting not only while driving but most of the time you see people texting while walking is a BAD Habit...thats why there are so many people who got their celphne snatched...

he is CORRECT.

When I am riding with a friend and he is driving while texting, I always grab his or her celphone and say..Let me drive so you can text or better yet stop texting before we get to our destination

If you watched Mythbuster earlier today they just confirmed that talking on a cellphone while driving is just as bad as driving under the influence. Just something to think about...
