    hello. what are the symptoms of a damaged board? kasi yung iphone ng bro-in-law ko, di daw makapasok sa home ng iphone... may itune + cable icon lang sa startup palagi... then pinadala sa greenhills. sabi sira daw yung board...

    Hmm.. If it's the board, then it should not power on at all anymore. You should have tried restoring it first.

    I think you just have to activate the phone first. Are you seeing the slide for emergency at the bottom? What FW is it? 2.2 or older versions? You may want to check applei.ph for more in depth analysis and consultation regarding your problem.

    yeah, if the board is damaged, it shouldnt power on as far as i know..

    i fried my board thanks to china car chargers. lolz

    I guess its not a board problem, its the initial icons that iPhone displays prior to activation, you have to attach it to a PC or Mac with a registered and updated iTunes, by the way is your iPhone locally acquired? say from Globe... or is it coming from abroad? Your brother might have updated the firmware of your unlocked and jailbreaked iPhone and have activated the security features of a carrier locked unit.
