switching from mac to windows
is there a way i can use an iPod to both platforms/OS? I use a mac...but everywhere i go where there's an available iPod music and video download store...they all use windows. and they won't let you transfer files using a flash drive or an external HD. :slanted:
thanks!

Re: switching from mac to windows
for the iPod to be recognized by both platforms, you should format it to Windows.. to do that, well, you have to back up your iPod library first as the process will erase all the contents.. next connect your iPod to a PC with iTunes and iPod Updater installed.. run iPod Updater then choose Restore.. that will restore your iPod to factory settings and format it to Windows..
after the Restore is complete, you will be asked to plug in the iPod to an outlet.. do so and after the process is finished, you can connect the iPod again to the PC.. set your preference to Manually update songs and playlists..
you can then connect the iPod to both Mac and Windows systems..
