Guys be careful when using your EDGE on Sun.....Dang!!! I just found out they charge you roughly P225 for just checking the weather!!! I managed to accumulate P5000 is in just a week and a half!!! wow!!!

can't you bring this issue to the managers? I don't think they would charge that much unless they don't want people to use EDGE (sa tagalog, nag-abala pa sila). Ask for clarification, maybe they are new in this business and would give you a recalculation...

I'll try....still have to wait for my bill though....gulat nalang ako putol line ko this morning and to think I just got my bill for the previous month a day ago....so i went to sun to ask why and voila!!! they showed me my running charges.....a lot of short time accesses for 235 bucks each.....normally I just pay 800-1k a month but this was a special month 5000 bucks for a a little more than 2 weeks into the cycle....wowoweeeeee!!! at least smart has this 10 bucks for 30mins now thats a good deal

You use edge for what? This doesn't mean the same thing when using Wifi right?

wow, mahal naman ng SUN. Ask them if they don't reverse the charges you'll switch to smart.

Its kinda like wifi but instead of using a local wireless network to acces the net you use your GSM network to access it.

Benz>as much as I would love to I dont think I can I'm still under contract for a few more months....and sun is ok except for the GPRS crap....

trade in mu na sim mu to smart, ahehehehe.....

or get some second hand phone for your sun and use a prepaid line for smart

(i'm almost sure prepaid charges the same amount for edge wervices, but anyone here feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

yeah thats a great idea!!! i'll check on that....if they charge the same rate Im getting myself a smart prepaid sim!!!

@sibilly, they charge the same for smart postpaid and prepaid for GPRS/EDGE surfing. If I were you I'd switch to other service providers as their charges are too much - you have grounds to stop your contract.
