Songs in IPOD to CD Burning - Best way?

Some of my mp3s are in my ipod and some are in my hd.

I dont have duplicates since im saving hd space.

There are times wherein i want to burn my songs in the ipod and by simply clicking that playlist wont allow me to burn to a cd.

Should i first copy the songs from IPOD back to my hd? and add to library so i can burn cds?

What do you guys recommend?

Im using a 3rd gen ipod. Used to extract my songs from my ipod and transfer it to my laptop when I want a backup. I don't know if new ones have better options.

When you say you want to burn your music to CDs, you want to just create a personal archive copy in the original file format (e.g. MP3, etc.) or, you want it in AIFF/Music CD format?

i want to burn audio-cd copies.

easiest way would be to use iTunes to burn the songs in your library to an Audio CD..

for the songs in your iPod, use Senuti to extract them to your HD and burn them the same way..

then just delete whatever songs you want..
