    Default Shuffle does not work

Loaded the itunes music library with mp3s, autofilled, charged, but the shuffle just wont make a sound, nothing whatsoever.

then i tried importing from cd, thinking that the mp3 format i have is not compatible(non-vbr?). I was able to import tracks, manually drag and drop the imported songs to an empty shuffle. Still, nothing.... I was able to play the songs on the shuffle thru itunes though.

The shuffle is supposed to play mp3s right? and the imported songs from cd is supposed to be automatically converted to aac? I remember setting a check box to convert to 128bit aac or something all the files copied to the shuffle.

Please help! I used Win2K service pack 4 btw. No problem in itunes, autofill, shuffle detect... etc. just wont play i think.
