Default Question: What program to use to record audio through the audio-in jack?

    Hi Muggers,

Just a quick question, what program can I use to record audio from my Minidisc player to my MAC. I have an audio-out from my Minidisc connected to the audio-in of my PowerBook. I just wanted to know what program can do the job of a quick and simple recording job for this type of connection.

    Thanks!

Hi eyedoctor, I tried downloading it but there seems to be a problem with the program after it has been unstuffed... I looked at other forums for the program and they have experienced the same problem as well

Macky, get an iMic by Griffin Technology nalang. There are numerous threads here on it. Check nalang the search feature fo the site. But it's a reasonable buy for the price. Hope this helps dude!

Garageband will handle this task too.

actually, for minidiscs the best would be to do it digitally.

Try to get your hands on a minidisc data player and just transfer the files. You may need to convert the files to desired format once they are on your computer.

I remember a program that was on my ibook - sound recorder. Now in the powerbook I cant find this program anymore.

Moya - Thanks for the tip, I have an iMic already, I was thinking of using my Audio-in jack instead. What program do you use to record from the iMic?

phral_ralph - Spin doctor 2 is not available anymore in MacUpdate

Maccess - What recording program do you use?

Ditoy - Garageband? Care to share a few basic tips, I've never opened that app since I got iLife '04 a year ago.

    Thanks a million guys!

i use Audio In. It's freeware. i downaloaded it from a link in a previous threrad here in philmug called "another audio question." author of thread is penmanila. there are step by step instructions there, too. (i just don't know how to post a link here. i tried, but didn't work.)

the audio in in the powerbook twelve inch is the one to the left of the audio out.
