problem with transferring photos to ipod

i have 21 MB of space remaining in my nano. tried transferring a 173 KB picture to it and itunes gives a message -- "some photos were not copied because there was not enough free space to hold the photos and albums"

in short, no picture was transferred. the same message was also given using my sister's nano and her ipod also has ample free space (30mb).
any suggestions?

aha!

i tried removing more songs and left around 50mb of free space...and i successfully transferred my first photo.

problem solved, i think

try restarting your nano.
